GAME SCHEDULE RELEASED FOR YOUTH WORLD CUP
12 Countries to Compete in Czech Republic

PLANT CITY, FLORIDA (USA) -- A schedule of 40 games over eight days was released by the International Softball Federation today for the Easton Foundation Youth Softball World Cup. The age 16-and-under girls fast pitch tournament will take place August 9-16 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Teams from Canada, China, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Russia, South Africa, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe will compete, with the first matchup featuring the host team taking on Puerto Rico following Opening Ceremonies.

Rubilena Rojas, a BackSoftball Athlete Ambassador who played for Venezuela last year at the Olympic softball competition in Beijing said, “I am really glad that our young team will be participating in Prague this summer. They are the future of our country and we have to continue to keep participating in this caliber of tournaments in order to continue to improve our level of play. A lot of our girls look forward to these opportunities because it is their ticket to see the world and eventually land a college scholarship that will change their lives and family lives forever.”

Being coordinated by the ISF and the Czech Softball Association, the Youth World Cup games will be played at the Prague Softball Center. The full schedule accompanies this release.
