SIX MORE SHUTOUTS RECORDED IN DAY TWO ACTION

SASAKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN – Australia, China, and the United States all moved to 2-0 in round robin play on the second day of play in the International Softball Federation’s X Women’s World Championship here. Australia has scored a total of 22 runs in their first two games.
A total of ten shutouts have now been recorded through the first 14 games,
after the six more recorded today.
Play continues tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m. with the Japan vs. New Zealand
game that got rescheduled when rain prevented it from being played on opening
night. Both teams won their tournament openers today. The other game that was
washed out on Friday night, Canada vs. Chinese Taipei, has been rescheduled for
Monday morning, July 29, at 11:00 a.m. Both of those games will take place in
Gordon Howe Park.
