NUMEROUS SOURCES FOR KEEPING UP
2009-10-06
If
you aren’t reading the September-December 2009 issue of World Softball magazine, start now, and then be prepared to keep on clicking.
From the comfort and convenience of your personal computer, extensive reading on the many happenings in and around international softball can take place now.
The current issue of the International Softball Federation’s official publication (pictured) has articles on this past July’s XII Men’s World Championship, plus numerous other tournaments that took place around the world from May-August. Plus, there’s a wrap-up on the BackSoftball campaign’s busy homestretch to the International Olympic Committee meetings in August and October. A look back at World Softball Day 2009 is highlighted. Director of Umpires Bob Stanton has his “Behind the Plate” column. And there’s still more.
But the information doesn’t stop there.
For example, if in reading the World Softball article on the Olympic reinstatement campaign, something catches your attention that you’d like more information on, click on over to www.BackSoftball.com and into the OTHER DOCUMENTS section, where you can catch up on announcements you may have missed.
Right here on internationalsoftball.com spend some time in the Communications section, looking at ISF press releases and newsletters from 2009. Or on this website’s homepage, scroll down in the LATEST NEWS portion to the Previous Articles link below the last (fourth) entry to view stories that had previously been posted on the front page of the site.
And don’t forget, many ISF member federations have their own websites too, where you can read softball news being made in their country. Just go to the Directory/Member Countries page in the “The ISF” section of internationalsoftball.com and – in the lower half of that page – find those entries that are linked to other websites.
When you’re all done and want to interact with others in the international softball community, feel free to post in one of the categories in the Message Board section of this site, or on the ISF’s or BackSoftball’s page on Facebook. It’s all out there waiting for you.
