Keeping up with the growing trends of today’s technology-driven world and the demand for immediacy, World Softball magazine has found a new home. The official publication of the International Softball Federation can now be read here on our website, free of charge.

No longer being published in printed form, World Softball makes its Internet debut with the May-August 2009 issue (pictured with this article).

This first online edition contains the usual President’s Message from the ISF’s Don Porter, and other regular installments, “Behind the Plate” by ISF Director of Umpires Bob Stanton, and the News & Notes page. Articles include a look ahead to the Easton Foundation Youth Softball World Cup (including the full game schedule), a look at the latest news on the BackSoftball campaign, and a report on the satellite office that the ISF opened in Europe.

History buffs may be interested to learn that World Softball ends a run of being printed in some form every year since 1970, when the first issue debuted – printed in black and white – with a lead story of “Japan Wins II World Championship.”
