OLYMPIC PREVIEW ISSUE NOW AVAILABLE
2008-05-22
Softball fans around the world will want to order the current issue of World Softball magazine. The May-August 2008 issue features a preview of the Olympic Softball competition as its cover story. The three-page article goes country-by-country through each of the eight teams that will go head-to-head from August 12-21 in Beijing.
With more pages than usual in this particular issue, there is a lot more to read after the cover story.
For fans of men’s softball, there’s an article that goes in-depth on the junior men’s category, in light of the ISF VIII Jr. Men’s World Championship (19-and-under) taking place during the cover dates of this issue of World Softball. Two pages are devoted to updating readers on Back Softball, the ISF’s campaign to get softball reinstated to the Olympics. There’s also a story about the ongoing plans for the IV Jr. Girls’ World Cup (16-and-under, fast pitch) in 2009. Another entry looks back at the men’s and women’s softball played at the 24th Southeast Asian Games. And from Don Porter’s President’s Message to other entries in this issue, there are plenty of additional reasons to get your copy of the magazine today.
The publication’s content is in both English and Spanish, with a two-page French summary included as well. With a credit card, through PayPal, or by printing the completed order and sending it with a check or money order to the ISF headquarters, World Softball can be ordered online by clicking here.
