The ISF Playing Rules Commission adopted bat certification standards effective January 1, 2002. Currently, the (ASTM) high-speed batted ball test (100 mph) is used for determining bats allowed to be used in ISF World Championships, World Cups and the Olympic Games. Also included are the qualifying tournaments for both the World Championships and the Olympics.

August 31, 2008 will mark the end of the period during which bats that complied with the previous ISF bat performance standard (1.20 BPF) shall be permitted to be used in ISF play.

Bat manufacturers that have certified their bats to-date are: Albin Athletics, Combat Softball, DeMarini, Easton, Hillerich & Bradsby (Louisville Slugger), Miken, Mizuno, Nike, Rawlings, Rip-It, Schutt, and Worth.

Click on one of the company names in the drop-down menu below to view a complete list of that manufacturer's models that have been deemed "approved" and meet ISF Bat Certification standards as provided by the ISF Equipment Standards Commission. [NOTE: These bats may have their approval withdrawn if the ISF finds in additional testing that the bat(s) does(do) not meet the bat performance standard.]
